Easter not Passover ...What gave us the right?

Since beginning my personal study into the Word of God, in my early 20's, I questioned the translation in Acts 12:4 replacing "Passover" with the pagan celebration of Easter.  During conference discussions with Beyond Prophecy  and ICFreedom, my studies were renewed into the Secret Societies, the Church of England and among others, Cabalist Francis Bacon.

I was surprised, when comparing the King James Version (KJV) translation of the Bible to the earlier 1599 Geneva Bible, and indeed any translation I've seen predating the KJV, that none used the word "Easter".  In prior versions the day of Christ's sacrifice was always written as taking place on the Passover (Pascha), fulfilling the sacrifice of Christ as the Lamb of God.  Many will be surprised to know early Christians did not celebrate Easter. Confusing Christ's sacrifice with the idol worship of of the pagan celebration "Easter" is just that... confusion.  I do find it ironic that Francis Bacon died on Easter.

It is and has always been my belief that the timing of the pagan celebration of "Easter" during Christ's Passover should not be separated from the significance of the Blood.  Easter is NOT a Christian holiday.  It was always a pagan celebration that sometimes fell during the time of Passover worship, just as it does now. The fact that it was a holiday celebrated by the Romans and falling in line with the Passover the year of the sacrifice of Christ, should hold little meaning for the true follower of our Lord and Savior, except that many have been led from the truth and fulfillment by the sacrifice of the Passover Lamb.

The Church of Constantine merged the pagan holiday with the Passover as it did many holidays in countries usurped (conquered) by the Roman Church. Christ dying before the Passover is one of them.

You need only look at The pagan roots of Easter or do a search on the  "pagan roots" to see the lie... not the only lie... but a lie still.  I'm not just picking on Easter here, after all,  we can just as easily do a search on the roots of Christmas, Thanksgiving, and on.

If you do a study in the Holy Days given by God in the Old Testament, you will see they were a type of Christ... prophecy that correlates with dates and events that have or will fulfill them.  The following paper, written by an eleven year old girl, simply explains the Holy Days and fulfillment of Bible prophecy but I hope you go on to do a deeper study.

Why I Celebrate God's Biblical Holy Days Instead of Holidays

I can imagine it's really difficult to forget what religion teaches you.  Like the old expression "not being able to see the forest because of the trees" and so,  I've always felt fortunate not having been brought up by or in a certain religion or its rituals.  There wasn't so much to forget.

Those who diligently search for Truth will be rewarded.  In most religions people tend to get too "comfy" and stop searching for God's truth, finding it easier to just listen to what the man (or woman) is telling them to believe or what the Good Book says.  Salvation is a very personal thing between you and Christ and through the Son, God.  Gathering with believers is a wonderful thing but have and keep your relationship with Christ first.  Study Paul.. study his conversion and above all [a]Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, dividing the word of truth [b]aright..  @ 2 Timothy 2:15

I've had renowned preachers tell me "That is what it says, it's not what it means" as though God does not have the power of the ability to say what He intends to say and mean what He says the way He said it.  The Bible was written for our understanding.  Don't let others confuse you from His Word but understand the changes man has made and go to the Source.

If you take the time and earnestly open your heart to what He wants you to know... what is coming.. you'll see Truth.. you'll see difference... you'll see hereafter. Let the Spirit show you and trust the God who loves.

I've often thought of the study of the Word like applying for a job and being told to forget EVERYTHING you know about the task so you can learn what they need you learn and how they need you to complete the task. The average person doesn't want to think about "spirits of deception" infiltrating masses of Believers... preferring instead to just accept and trust the twists and spins of lies and darkness coming from one theology or another.

It's not just about us.. it's about forever.

http://www.worldslastchance.com/ - Easter, or Easter Sunday, is a beloved tradition to many people when the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated. The origins of Easter, however, prove that it is a pagan substitute for the Biblical Passover. Early Christians observed Passover for hundreds of years until paganism corrupted the once-pure faith with the worshiping of the queen of heaven and all of the pagan traditions. All who wish to commemorate the Saviour's sacrifice will do so on the memorial of His death: Passover, not Easter. Easter is Pagan fraud designed to replace Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits, the TRUE feasts that represent the death, burial, and Resurrection of Yahushua!

In 30AD, millions of Jews from around the world gathered to celebrate passover in Jerusalem and among them were Jesus of Nazareth and his disciples.

When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem the crowds shouted the words of King David, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."

They expected a coronation and what they saw was an act of redemption.

Jesus was about to do something of eternal significance as the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.

A Biblical description and explanation of Passover and the Messianic implications and fulfillments. There is much more than what this video uncovers!

"Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to YHVH; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a PERMANANT ORDINANCE."
