This documentary examines the controversial military program based on Tesla technology - its possible effects on weather and use in mind control. H.A.A.R.P. is a scientific research facility, located near Gakona, in the remote Alaskan outback and is a joint Navy and Air Force project. This facility is used to study the earth's Ionosphere, the electrically-charged belt surrounding our planet's upper atmosphere, ranging between 40 to 60 miles from its surface. More specifically, H.A.A.R.P. is a controversial high frequency radio transmitter, or "ionospheric heater". The military intends to use this billion-watt pulsed radio beam in our upper atmosphere, which will create extremely low frequency waves, or ELF waves. This technology will enhance communications with submarines and will allow us to "see" into the Earth, detecting anything from oil reserves to hidden underground military targets. H.A.A.R.P.'s roots can be traced back to work of Nikola Tesla, a Yugoslavian scientist, who's achievements include the Tesla Coil or "magnifying transmitter" which is still used in televisions and radio today.

Based on discoveries by Nikola Tesla, HAARP is a controversial technology operated by the US military beaming high level energy into the Earth's upper atmosphere. HAARP also locates hidden oil reserves and missile silos around the world. However, critics of HAARP say this technology could blow a massive hole in the upper atmosphere as well as disrupt the subtle magnetic energies of all life on Earth. Narrated by Martin Sheen this film presents an investigation of a subject that could have a dramatic effect on all life.

The Secret of Nikola Tesla (Serbo-Croatian: Tajna Nikole Tesle), is a 1980 Yugoslav biographical film which details events in the life of legendary inventor Nikola Tesla (portrayed by Serbian actor Petar Božović), born to ethnic Serb parents in 1856 Croatia (at the time, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), who arrived in New York in 1884, became American citizen in 1891, made immense contributions to science, and died in New York at age 86, during the middle of World War II in 1943.[1]
Croatian director Krsto Papić assembled a cast which includes three American actors playing iconic personalities of 19th and early 20th century America, J. P. Morgan (1837--1913), Thomas Edison (1847--1931) and George Westinghouse (1846--1914). Morgan is portrayed by Orson Welles, while Croatian actress Oja Kodar, Welles' companion for the last 24 years of his life, has the role of Katharine Johnson (1855--1924), with whom Tesla corresponded for many years, and whose husband, Robert Underwood Johnson (1853--1937) (portrayed by Croatian actor Boris Buzančić) was a poet, scholar, diplomat and Tesla's longtime friend and supporter. The other Americans in the cast are character actors Strother Martin (who died six weeks before the film's September 12, 1980 English-language premiere at the Toronto Film Festival) and Dennis Patrick as Westinghouse and Edison, respectively.
